How much does a typical project cost?

Every project is different — scope, finishes, and the condition of the space all matter. After our first visit you'll get a detailed written quote with line items so you can see exactly where every dollar goes.

How long will my project take?

Bathrooms usually run 4–6 weeks, and kitchens 6–10 weeks. Once materials are locked in, we put a realistic timeline on your quote — and we keep you updated every workday.

Can we stay in our home during the work?

Most of the time, yes. We seal work zones with dust barriers, keep at least one bathroom functional, and set up a temporary kitchenette for kitchen projects. The site is swept and secured at the end of every workday.

Who handles permits and inspections?

We do — all of it. Drawings, permit filings, scheduling inspectors and closing out the permit once the work passes. You never have to stand in line at the city building department.

How do payments work?

Progress payments tied to completed milestones — never large sums up front. You always hold the final payment until your walkthrough punch list is finished to your satisfaction.

Do you warranty your work?

Yes. Every Shield Construction project comes with a written workmanship warranty, and manufacturer warranties on fixtures and materials pass through to you on top of it. Full terms are spelled out in your contract before any work begins.
